Thoughts to Celebrate Life

Giving Fully

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles and the girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he would give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed. But he kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to her. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised. That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn’t sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble. If you don’t give your hundred per cent in a relationship, you’ll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred per cent.

Thoughts In A Nutshell

TEN SECRETS TO SUCCESS
  1. How you think is everything. Always be positive. Think success, not failure. Beware of a negative environment.
  2. Decide upon your true dreams and goals. Write down your specific goals and develop a plan to reach them.
  3. Take action. Goals are nothing without action. Don’t be afraid to get started. Just do it.
  4. Never stop learning. Go back to school or read books. Get training and acquire skills.
  5. Be persistent and work hard. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up.
  6. Learn to analyze details. Get all the facts, all the input. Learn from your mistakes.
  7. Focus your time and money. Don’t let other people or things distract you.
  8. Don’t be afraid to innovate; be different. Following the herd is the sure way to mediocrity.
  9. Deal and communicate with people effectively. No person is an island. Learn to understand and motivate
  10. Be honest and dependable. Take responsibility. (otherwise, 1-9 won’t matter)

Ur Life Ur Choice...

ANECDOTES OF GREAT

Sir William Osler, eminent Canadian physician, was lecturing on alcohol. “Is it true,” asked a student, “that alcohol enables people to do things better?” “No”, replied Sir William, “it just makes them less ashamed of doing them badly.”

I AM GRATEFUL
Thanks to those who hated me. They made me a stronger person.
Thanks to those who loved me. They made my heart bigger.

Thanks to those who worried about me. They let me know that they actually cared.
Thanks to those who left me. They showed me not everything lasts.

Thanks to those who entered my life. They made me who I am today.

To Ponder Over

TRUST
One day a female telephone operator received a phone call. She answered, “Public Utilities Board.” There was silence. She repeated, “PUB.” There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she heard a lady’s voice, “Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my husband’s pocket but I do not know whose number it is.” Trust is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion; suspicion generates anger; anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

Prayer of Blessing

HISTORY FACT
Everyone knows about Alexander Graham Bell who invented phones. But he never made a call to his family because his wife and daughter were deaf. That’s life ‘lived for others!’

Prayer of Blessing
May God give you
For every storm, a rainbow
For every tear, a smile
For every care, a promise
And a blessing in each trial
For every problem life sends
A faithful friend to share
For every sigh, a sweet song
And an answer for each prayer.

Believe In you

BELIEVE IN YOU!
Believe in you when the world feels like it is crashing down upon your shoulders.
Believe in you when your doubt and confusion blind you to the reality of your beauty and strength.
Believe in you when the road becomes dark and you feel the path has fallen from beneath your feet.
Believe in you when what you seek for tomorrow seems forever lost in the confusion of today.
Believe in you when all you wish is to slumber, to dream and awaken, cleansed of turmoil and trepidation.
Believe in you for you are your own deliverance.
Fear not that you might make a mistake in believing your dream. Fear rather that if you don’t go for it you might stand before God and he’ll tell you could have succeeded had you had a little more faith.
Fear not that you might fail. Fear rather that you will never succeed if you never try and if you are unwilling to take risks.
Fear not that you might get hurt. Fear rather that you will never grow if you wait for painless success.
The old man said to the young man, “Why not go out, on a limb, after all isn’t that where the fruit is.”

God's doing

God’s Doing

A friend once asked Samuel B. Morse, the inventor of the telegraph, “Professor, while you were at your experiments, did you ever come to a stage when you did not know what to do next?”
“Oh, yes, more than once,” answered Morse.
“And at such times, what did you do next?”
“I must answer you in confidence,” replied the inventor modestly, “but it is a matter of which the public knows nothing. Whenever I could not see my way clearly I knelt down and prayed to God for light and understanding.”
“And did the light and understanding come?” asked the friend.
“Yes,” declared Morse. ”And may I tell you that when flattering honours came to me from America and Europe on account of my invention which bears my name, I never felt I deserved them. I had made a valuable application of electricity, not because I was superior to other men, but solely because God, who meant it for making, must reveal it to someone, and was pleased to reveal it to me.”
God is always trying to give good things to us, but our hands are too full to receive them

Just A Moment

THE STRENGTH OF A NATION

The strength of a nation is not found in the blind commitment to a political party. It is found in the undying devotion to one’s family and country. The strength of a nation is not found in the celebration of the rich and the famous. It is found in the acknowledgment and assistance of its poor and forgotten. The strength of a nation is not found in the mass symbolic ceremonial praise of God. It is found in each individual’s dedication to God’s word and law. The strength of a nation is not found in banks, stores, safes, boardrooms, and conventions. It is found in homes, in schools, and in the heart of each individual willing to make a difference. The strength of a nation is not found in the ability to wage war or keep peace. It is found in the wisdom and purity that sees no need for either. The strength of a nation is not found on a flag or in its written history. It is found in the love, compassion, kindness and generosity of each of its citizens.

Balance in Life

BALANCE
Once the great Anthony of the Desert was relaxing with his disciples outside his hut when a hunter came by. The hunter was surprised to see Anthony relaxing, and rebuffed him for taking it easy. It was not his idea of what a holy monk should be doing.
Anthony replied, “Bend your bow and shoot an arrow.” And the hunter did so. “Bend it again and shoot another arrow,” said Anthony. The hunter did so, again and again. The hunter finally said, “Abba Anthony, if I keep my bow always stretched, it will break.”
“So it is with the monk,” replied Anthony. “if we push ourselves beyond measure, we will break. It is right from time to time to relax our efforts.”

THE DETERMINED FIGHTER

THE DETERMINED FIGHTER
Dr B R Ambedkar’s childhood dream to go to school was shattered when his teacher asked him to sit outside the classroom. He had to carry a gunny sack everyday to sit outside since he was from a low caste. Untouchable children were segregated and given no attention or assistance from the teachers. Even if they needed to drink water somebody from a higher caste would have to pour that water from a height as they were not allowed to touch either the water or the vessel that contained it. This task was usually performed for the young Ambedkar by the school peon, and if he could not be found Ambedkar went without water. It is said that once this young boy wanted to cut his hair. Even a barber who used to cut the hair of a buffalo refused to touch his hair. Despite the social taboos, he went ahead with his studies even obtaining his Ph D from the United States. Upon India’s Independence, Ambedkar became India’s first Law Minister and was appointed chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee and given the task of drafting free India’s new Constitution. He bravely fought against great odds and became one of the founding fathers of our country, the backbone of our Constitution. “Learn to live in this world with self-respect. You should always cherish some ambition to do something in this world. They alone rise who strive” – echo the words of Dr Ambedkar.

Good Morning. Have A Wonderful Day.

What you can

What You Can

You cannot change the world, but you can present the world with one improved person, yourself.

You can go to work on yourself to make yourself into the kind of person you admire and respect.
You can become a role model and set a standard for others.
You can control and discipline yourself to resist acting or speaking in a negative way toward anyone for any reason.
You can insist upon always doing things the loving way, rather than the hurtful way.
By doing these things each day, you can continue on your journey toward becoming an exceptional human being.

– Brian Tracy
